Description

Introduction
Carbestop is a medicine used to control excessive bleeding from the uterus, that may occur after the childbirth. It stimulates contraction of the uterine muscles thus, helps to control post-delivery bleeding. Carbestop is given as an injection deep into the muscles under the medical supervision of a doctor. It is only given at the hospital sitting, so do not self- administered the medicine. The dose and how often you take it depends on what you are taking it for. You should take this medicine for as long as it is prescribed for you. The most common side effects of this medicine include vomiting, flushing, hot flushes, headache, and chills. If these bother you or appear serious, let your doctor know. There may be ways of reducing or preventing them. If you notice dizziness, avoid driving or attention seeking activity. Before taking this medicine, tell your doctor if you have ever had heart disease, or you have high or low blood pressure or have liver or kidney disease. Your doctor should also know about all other medicines you are taking as many of these may make this medicine less effective or change the way it works. Always remember, it is only giver after delivery not during pregnancy.
