The affected area should be clean before using the medicine. You must wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying this medicine. If the side effects bother you or do not go away, let your doctor know. It makes condoms and diaphragm less effective, ask your doctor about suitable birth control method. Administration
Vaginal administration: Insert one VT high into the vagina in the evening before going to bed (this is easiest when lying on back with knees bent up).
Adult Dose
Topical Cutaneous fungal infections Adult: Apply 2% cream twice daily on the affected site. Vaginal Tablet Vaginal thrush The VT should be inserted into the vagina as a single dose, at bedtime.

Mode of Action
The main mechanism of action of fenticonazole is based on the inhibition of the synthesis of aspartate acid proteinase, a virulence enzyme of Candida albicans correlated with the adherence of the yeast to epithelial cells. This activity is quite peculiar as it was not observed with fluconazole, ketoconazole and miconazole.
