Introduction
Jonort is a unique preparation of standardized extract ofJonort , which is widely used as effective herbal medicine in the treatment of depression. The major active constituents ofJonort are hypericin, hyperforin, hyperoside, quercitrin and rich in vitamin C. Jonort possesses antidepressant activity which inhibits re-uptake of neurotransmitters such as serotonin, dopamine, noradrenaline, γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and L-glutamate. It has also inhibiting activity of Monoamine oxidase (MAO) and Catechol-O-methyltransferase (COMT).

How to use Jonort
Take Jonort in the dose and duration as advised by your doctor. Take Jonort orally with plenty of water. Do not chew, crush or break it.
How Jonort work
Jonort is most commonly used to treat for mild to moderate depression and conditions that sometimes go along with depression such as anxiety, tiredness, loss of appetite and insomnia. What if you forget to take Jonort
If you miss a dose of Jonort, take it as soon as possible. However, if it is almost time for your next dose, skip the missed dose and go back to your regular schedule. Do not double the dose.

Administration
Administered only orally as advised by the physician.
Adult Dose
Take one capsule three times per day, or as prescribed by a doctor.
Child Dose
Not recommended for children.
Renal Dose
It should be used with caution in patients with kidney disease. Dose adjustment of St. John’s Wort may be needed. Please consult your doctor.
Contraindication
Contraindicated in patient with a known hypersensitivity to silymarin.

Precaution
It should be used cautiously with drugs metabolized by Cytochrome P450 and drugs that lower the seizure threshold.

Pregnancy & Lactation Category Note
It is not recommended to take St. John’s Wort while pregnant. Breast-feeding is not recommended while taking this medication due to the potential risk to the infant.
Interaction
It interacts with SSRI antidepressants (e.g., fluoxetine, paroxetine), other antidepressants that affect serotonin levels (e.g., nefazodone), and some migraine treatments (e.g., sumatriptan, naratriptan).
